WHAT IS THE GOSPEL: WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news. The Gospel is central to every aspect of the Christian life, and shares that through Christ's death and resurrection all things are under his authority.
WHO GOD IS
God is three persons in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is "everlasting" and "infinite" in "power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love." Just as the shorter catechism states, "God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth".
HOW THE WORD IS EFFECTUAL TO SALVATION
"The Spirit of God maketh the reading, but especially the preaching of the Word, an effectual means of convincing and converting sinners, and of building them up in holiness and comfort, through faith, unto salvation." - Shorter catechism
